Dear patient of Medical Center Voerknecht,
We would like to provide you with more information about Dr. Voerknecht's practice.
As you may have noticed, Dr. Voerknecht has unfortunately had to step back due to overwork. In the past period, we have tried to assist you as best as possible. Our team of doctor's assistants has worked with both temporary and permanent general practitioners to continue providing the necessary care. You may have noticed that things were different than usual, that it took more time to arrange things, or that more consultations were needed.
Together with Dr. Voerknecht, we have been looking for a solution that offers more stability. We are pleased to share that as of September 1, we have two permanent replacements for the practice: Dr. Fedorina and Dr. Gaikema. You may have already encountered them in the past period. They will run the practice at least until December, allowing Dr. Voerknecht the time and space for his recovery. We trust in your understanding and patience, even if things go differently than you are used to.
Dr. Gaikema and Dr. Fedorina have previously worked together at another workplace. They would like to briefly introduce themselves to you:
- Dr. Fedorina studied medicine in Utrecht and completed her general practitioner training there. Before starting her GP training, she worked in the emergency department in Woerden for a while. She has been living in Hilversum with her husband and two daughters for a few years and works in the Gooi region.
- Dr. Gaikema studied Medicine in Groningen. After her training, she worked in various places, including the internal medicine and psychiatry departments. She completed her GP training in Amsterdam. After that, she worked as a locum GP in and around Amsterdam for several years. She currently lives in Eemnes with her husband and three sons. This has shifted her work region to the Gooi and surrounding areas. Dr. Gaikema has been working frequently at Medical Center Voerknecht for almost a year now.
They both look forward to getting to know you as a patient and, together with the assistants, continue to provide you with good GP care. For questions, please contact the practice and not Dr. Voerknecht directly. This way, we can help you best.
We would like to share a few more things with you:
- First, check Thuisarts.nl or Moetiknaardedokter.nl for advice. On Thuisarts.nl, you can calmly read information and advice after a conversation with the doctor's assistant or GP.
- Our practice is digitally accessible all day, and we try to respond as quickly as possible.
- Call in the morning for appointments or results.
- We are always available for emergencies.
- We are reachable by phone between 08:00-11:00, 11:30-12:15, and 14:30-17:00.
- If you have an appointment but cannot make it, let us know so that we can use the valuable consultation time for another patient.
- At the reception, you can pick up and drop off materials and referral letters. We respect your privacy at the reception by planning as few appointments as possible, answering medical questions, and sharing results. We prefer to do this by phone and digitally.
We want you to know that as a team, we aim to help you as best as possible, which means that emergencies always take priority. We ask for your patience and trust in the expertise of our staff and the permanent replacements. Together, we ensure that every patient receives the right care in the right place.
Kind regards, Dr. Fedorina, Dr. Gaikema, Dr. Voerknecht, and the team at Medical Center Bussum Zuid
